looks like these great photos are from in and around Maromas, our city's amazing nature area. the Mattabesett Trail runs through here. for maps to local hiking spots, here's a link to Middletown Conservation Commission's 2005 publication, Middletown Trail Guide - http://www.middletownplanning.com/documents/MdtnTrailGuide.pdf
If we lived each day of our lives as the world does surrounded in those photos then the understanding of the value of humanity would increase and the unnecessary need for ego would diminish, hence making the world a better place to live. Life is simple go with the flow and trust the process as does nature.
So glad to hear that you enjoyed them. I've added one more image; showing a very rough rough outline of where the trail goes.
Yes, Joseph you are correct. I was curious to see who would recognize the images. We parked on Brooks Rd, just opposite Bear Hill Rd. and hiked heading in the direction of the CT River. The water image is of Asylum Reservoir #3. The View of Middletown is taken further along the trail closer to Reservoir Rd. We were mostly on the Mattabesett Hiking Trail; what is the blue blazed trail, and on the return did a little bit of the blue/yellow trail which traverses a short section of Reservoir Rd. This trail is a southerly u shape, starting at the CT River and ending at the Berlin turnpike. The image of the brook was taken a short distance from Reservoir Rd. and Resevoir #2. The town is so lucky to have Maromas. If you've never been I urge you to check it out!
Lapine where are the buffalo in Middletown? I did not know we had some in town?
