The election got off to a great start at 6:00 this morning, as people cast their ballots on their way to work, and the Moody School Bake Sale table groaned with home-made goodies. Common Council candidates Robert Stefurak and Grady Faulkner were among the first to vote.
The two major parties are across the top of the ballot, but the independents for each office are scattered across various rows on the bottom.
About 10 election workers were attending tables and booths. Each party also had high school students crossing off names of voters. Stefurak said that these lists would be brought to party headquarters for volunteers to make calls to those who had not yet voted.
