Fiore's was first out the gate!
...and pansies in the planters (props to the Downtown Business District).
At one point, I thought I heard the chirping of birds, but it turned out it was just a delivery truck backing up. Cheep, cheep, cheep!
If you're coming down to Main Street tonight (Friday), don't miss Bread & Puppet at First Church (they just pulled into town and are unloading their bus!)

Thank you to the almost 400 people who came out on just five days notice to see this great, nationally acclaimed troupe. There is hope that Middletown will support the arts better, which may allow our struggling arts groups to thrive. My thanks to ArtFarm, but I am so sad they didn’t get enough corporate and grant support to do Shakespeare in the Grove this summer.
Thanks, Trevor! Great that First Church was willing to offer their space for this special event! That's very sad news to hear there won't be a Shakespeare in the Grove this year. But we'll keep chugging along to keep the arts alive in Middletown.
Anne-Marie, here at The Buttonwood Tree :)
