Program to Support Parents of Out of Control Teens

The Parent Project is finally coming to Middletown! This is a great program that fills a huge need in our community.

If you know any parents of 11-17 years old youths who are defiant, truant or have negative peer associations, this is a program for them. Families do not have to be DCF involved and can self refer. The attached flyer includes all contact info and class dates. There is no charge to attend and parents will benefit immensely from this program! You can learn more about the Parent Project at their website, http://www.parentproject.com/.

The program was designed by parents to specifically answer the questions one may face when dealing with a difficult teenager. Its goal is to empower parents to regain control of their home and repair relationships with their kids. The same program in New Haven retained all 15 members throughout the ten sessions, which speaks to its ability to engage and empower parents.

You can contact myself (Justin Carbonella) at 860-854-6030 or Carol Kniss, MSW DCF at 860-344-2986 x 7031 if you have any questions. Registration info is on the flyer below.
