Applications Being Accepted for After-School Grants

The Middletown Youth Services Bureau Advisory Board through the City's Youth Services Bureau (YSB) has released the application for the 2010-2011 Educational Incentives Challenge Grant.

This Request For Proposals (RFP) is to solicit program activities from community agencies and organizations that support the goals of the Educational Incentive Challenge Grant (EICG), as well as enhance educational opportunities directly or indirectly. This grant is looking to fund program activities for children in Grades K-12 that help support at-risk, under-represented students who traditionally are not involved in programming outside the regular school day. These activities may be of academic, recreational, cultural, physical, psychological, and/or emotional benefit to the child.

The RFP document includes all guidelines, timelines, and directions for the narrative that will assist in the development of a proposal and can be found on the YSB website, www.middletownyouthservices.org<http://www.middletownyouthservices.org/> or one may follow this link to go directly to the YSB's EICG page.

There will be a bidder's conference held on Wednesday, July 21st at 10am in the Middletown Board of Education's Conference Room A. The deadline for submission is August 11th at 10am.
