Each of the five courses prepared by Lee, Ben and the Eli Cannon's staff, was thematically offered from the grill (including pizza and post-grill chilled salads), and to complement the particular Stone beverage offered as the food arrived. For the one vegetarian at the table, Eli's prepared a plate of barbecued shrimp as the rest of us filled-up on savory chicken and skirt steak.
The weather, as you know, was perfect, and our table was shady and filled with neighbors along with two new friends, John Sliney and Brian Burgess. We happily chatted and denigrated lite beers of all kinds.
We all left sated, and happy, and I was personally happy that our group had chosen to walk the six blocks back to our neighborhood.
The evening ended with a marshmallow roast around a fire pit at yet another neighbor's house.

But the beer -- tell us about the beer!
The beer was exquisite in its bold hopiness. And strong as hell.
