The Middletown Youth Lacrosse Senior Boys "Blue" team won the state championship today. The team of mostly 8th graders beat Glastonbury 9-2 in a game at Vinal on Thursday, then traveled to South Windsor for the semi-final and championship games.
Before hundreds of rabidly screaming parents and supporters, they won a nail biter on Saturday, prevailing 6-5 over Burlington.
They brought home the trophy today by beating Somers 8-7. After trailing 4-1 early in the first half, they clawed their way back and took a lead in the final quarter, holding on in a tense and hard-fought
final few minutes.

Was it a nail biter, or a nail hanger? Anyway this is the kind of lax reporting one can appreciate.
