The latest e-newsletter from the Book Bower used book store in the lower level of Main Street Market has this to say about downtown parking:
This week the Middletown Parking
Commission agreed with downtown retailers that a return to free
Saturday parking at Melilli and the Arcade parking lots makes sense
and will be asking the Mayor and the City Council to authorize the
implementation. Can you imagine an inviting atmosphere where you can
shop, have lunch and dessert without feeling like you have to leave
when your free hour of parking is up.

email or speak personally to the Mayor and ask for his support.
