Expansion of Randolph Road Elderly Housing Approved

The Planning and Zoning approved the construction of 8 new apartments for the elderly and handicapped,
located on Randolph Road, west of its intersection with South Main Street. The proposal, from the Middletown Housing Authority, will add 2 new one-story buildings to the existing 7 buildings with a total of 40 apartments.

The Commission did not grant the Housing Authority's request to waive the requirement for one electric vehicle charging station in the new parking lot.

Farm Winery
The public hearing on a proposal to develop a farm winery on Miner Street was postponed to the January 12th meeting, to give the applicant an opportunity to address comments from the Water and Sewer Department, according to Director of Land Use, Marek Kozikowski.
