Start Reading Now: One Book events fast approaching

One Book One Middletown 2012

Thanks to the Book Bower store in the Main Street Market shops for this information.

The goal of One Book is simple...to get a lot of people in the area to read the same book at the same time and then encourage them to talk about it. By doing so, we hope that more people (especially more young people) will enjoy reading.

This year's selection is:

Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption

by Laura Hillenbrand

Save the evening of Friday March 23rd [date has been corrected from original post] for a book discussion led by Middletown High School students. This will be one event among many in late March and early April that will feature discussions or presentations around the themes in this book - competitive running, WWII, survival in extreme conditions, food memories, and writing memoirs. Stay tuned for further details on these events or visit http://www.middletownrotary.org/OneBook.cfm to find out more.

The book discussion date at The New England Emporium has been changed to Friday, March 23rd, not the 30th.
