The Atwater-Donnelly Trio plays at Russell Library Sunday March 17th

The Atwater-Donnelly Trio is (l-r) Aubrey Atwater, Elwood Donnelly, and
Cathy Clasper-Torch. They will performing "Irish Music in America" on
Sunday, March 17th at 2:00pm in the Hubbard Room.

On Sunday, March 17th, 2019 at 2:00pm, the highly acclaimed husband-wife duo, Aubrey Atwater and Elwood Donnelly will be joined by fiddler Cathy Clasper-Torch in their program entitled, Irish Music in America. 

The trio performs traditional American and Celtic folk songs, a cappella pieces, dance tunes and original works on a wide variety of instruments. Appalachian mountain dulcimer, guitar, mandolin, tin whistle, harmonica banjo, bones, spoons blend with fiddle, cello and Chinese erhu played by Clasper-Torch to produce a wide range of unusual and rich harmonies. Their performance appeals to all ages.

Atwater-Donnelly have won several awards throughout the years, the most recent being Motif Magazine’s Music Award for the “Best Folk Act” in 2016. Also in 2016, Aubrey Atwater won “Best Americana Female Vocalist”.
