Rummage Sale to Benefit Hands Open Wide (HOW) Food Pantry

Note: All vendor fees will go directly to the HOW Food Pantry (vendor spaces are $10 each), but vendor profits remain with the vendor unless voluntarily donated.

HOW Food Pantry will also be accepting cash donations, non-perishable food items, and items to be sold at the rummage sale. All donated items will be priced by event organizers and sold on behalf of HOW. All proceeds from the sale of donated items will go directly to the HOW Food Pantry.
  • Donated items can be dropped off at Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church at 511 Maple Street from August 8 - August 12 between 8:30am and 4pm.
  • To drop off items, drive to the back entrance of the church (the one with a covered entry). All items will go to rooms 110/112, which are immediately to the left once you pass through the second set of doors. Ring the doorbell for office assistance as necessary.
  • Please donate items in clean and usable condition. Dirty, broken or smelly items will not be accepted.

HOW Food Pantry distributes food on the third Saturday of the month starting at 9:30am. Food is distributed on a first come, first served basis. Call 860-563-8286 for more information.

Dear Anonymous - As far as I know, which may not be much, people who love tag sales shop in more than one town. And, the last time I was at City Hall in Middletown (which was sometime in June), there was a flyer posted on the door advertising the availability of this exact food pantry to Middletown residents.

Are you somehow suggesting that need and the desire or capacity to help out can't cross municipal lines? I sure hope not...
