On Tuesday, October 19, 2010 a water main break was discovered in the area of #244 Smith Street. Local police have shut down Smith Street between Industrial Park Road and Westlake Drive until further notice.
Middletown Water Department personnel are on scene assessing the situation. The extent and cause of the damage is unknown at this time.
A blanket message was distributed throughout the area at 5:18PM EST utilizing the Reverse 911 System. Westlake residents will be without water or with very low pressure for an undisclosed amount of time while city workers repair the break.
