COMMENTARY
The following is the content of the MMPA Newsletter, authored by municipal employee John Milardo and released today. Responses from all parties is welcome to this commentary and other in the Middletown Eye.
The Common Council meeting held last night, regarded two main topics:
approving Mayor Sebastian Giuliano’s appointments of a Chief and Deputy Chief
of Police for the City of Middletown.
For months, the democrats have been leaving little tidbits of information along
their way, implying they would not vote for Mayor Giuliano’s candidates.
(Especially Councilmen Vincent Loffredo and Thomas J. Serra) Last nights vote to
reject his appointments was not a surprise.
Over the months, the democrats complained about the process (legally, none is
required); they complained about residency (legally, there is no illegality); they
complained about the two candidates (because theirs was not chosen); they’ve even
gone as far as complaining about car mileage.
These democrats don’t care one bit about what’s best for the community. They
heard the public speak in favor of the Mayors candidates during the public session
of the Council meeting; and then voted the opposite way. Maybe I should say they
voted the way their future mayoral candidate wanted them to vote, so he could
have a platform to stand on for the next City election.
Speaking of future democratic mayoral candidate Dan Drew, did you see and hear
him comment about how the process was flawed, and how voters can’t stand public
employees: as he gazed at the public through the television camera. Did anyone
notice that Mr. Drew made sure he sat in a chair directly in front of the camera, so
he could gain as much exposure as possible? How he was constantly texting
during the entire meeting, presumably to inform his future Councilmatic henchmen
what questions to ask during the Council meeting.
I say that because it’s a fact, as we all learned last night that the democratic council
members cannot think or act individually. They are all joined at the very tiny,
miniscule brain, which forces them to all to speak, think, and vote the same way.
Dr. Frankenstein may have secretly succeeded in creating the perfect man: one
with no backbone, no brain, and no guts; just a follower. They live in Middletown;
or I should say most of them do.
This is the way of Middletown politics. Play the public as though we are some
stupid Neanderthal civilization, not smart enough to figure out where fire comes
from. The scary thing is that quite a few of Middletown’s voters eat this stuff up as
the truth and buy into it.
I have no problem if someone wants to say yes or no to a certain issue; but for
crying out loud, stop the BS and don’t lie about why you’re doing it. People who
do that have absolutely no respect for themselves; cannot be trusted; and are
playing others (public) as a bunch of fools. It then just boils down to cowardice, or
just plain arrogance. For Middletown democrats, it’s all of the above. (For
purposes of full disclosure; I am a past democratic town committee member, and
worked for democratic Council and Mayoral candidates over the years. I
voluntarily resigned, and changed my voting registration to Non- Affiliated several
years ago.)
If labor member organizations are going to be satisfied with people such as this
governing our Cities, and relying on them to do the right thing for all of us trying
to earn a living, or creating more jobs, and bettering our lives; we are in a sad state
of affairs, and will have no one but ourselves to blame for failure.
I for one cannot stand to have these same lying democratic Councilpersons leading
our community. They are so self absorbed, and believe they are so important, that
they have forgotten about the public; they are in it for just themselves. They must
be removed.
When “Middletown Eye” (http://middletowneyenews.blogspot.com/) editor,
Ed McKeon, a democratic, agrees with me about anything, don’t take it lightly.

Stay Involved.

Mr McKeon,
I am very disappointed to see this reprint in the Middletown Eye. It contains unverified accusations about what Dan Drew was texting and to whom during the counsel meeting.
The Eye has taken a stand against spreading inuendo like this in its comment section, but some content of this reprinted article does just that.
I ask that you either retract this reprint, or explain how it is different than rumor spreading in the comment section.
Thank you,
James Sylvestre
