Eat Your Art Out

Oddfellows Playhouse's 2nd Food Improv Fundraiser takes place tonight at the Wadsworth Mansion from 6-9pm.  Tickets are available at the door.  $75 per person, and $125 for a couple (two people is a couple.)



A tasting style event, Food Improv will showcase a variety of dishes created by some of the best chefs and restaurants throughout Connecticut.   Returning restaurants include: Riverhouse Catering, The New England Emporium, Eli Cannon’s Tap Room, NoRA Cupcake Company, Tschudin Chocolates & Confections, and Cold Stone Creamery of Middletown.  New participants include Lan Chi Restaurant and The Lace Factory.  The event will also feature a signature cocktail mixed and created by RIPE Craft Bar Juice and Onyx Moonshine.

July 15 - Citizen's Bank - Not Your Typical 5K Road Race

The Citizen's Bank annual "Not Your Typical 5K" road race is scheduled for July 15th this year. Details are available here.

And the winner is...

The "Not Your Typical 5K" ended just minutes ago, so we hope to be the first in the blogsphere to announce the winners:

For the Family Fun Run, Middletown's own Kaleigh Roberts, age 12, was the fastest kid at 2.14 minutes!

For the 5K, the prize goes to Chris Croff of Lisbon, age 19, with a time of 16.03 minutes!

Ready, Set, Go!

The center block of Main Street will be closed on Wednesday evening for the "Not Your Typical 5K" road race.

If you're more of the spectator type (a-hem), there's music, entertainment, and the fun of watching the runners cross the finish line. The Fun Run starts at 6:30 pm, the 5K begins at 6:45 pm.
