On March 13, 2009 at approximately 2:30 pm, Middletown Police Detectives arrested Westley Northup (age 20) of 21 Rome Avenue, Middletown, with an arrest warrant for the following charges:
Assault 1st Degree
Criminal Possession of a Firearm
The arrest stems from a January 10, 2009 shooting at 22 Bacon Avenue in which a 20 year old male was shot in the forearm.
Today’s arrest took place without incident at Enterprise Rental on Washington Street in Middletown. Northup is being held on a $250,000.00 court set bond as of this time.This case marks the third shooting within the past several months, which has been investigated by Middletown Detectives and resulted in an arrest.
