Could it be summer?

I know we have a bit before Memorial Day and even a whole month longer before the official start of summer, but it's a big deal to pick the first strawberry of the season in our backyard! This is especially true because of the (*%&@#$) chipmunks who normally eat everything, so here's a bit of happiness for your day!

Strawberries for Lunch

In case you didn't eat, or in my case, in case you need to eat more....
St. Mary's Church is hosting their annual Strawberry Shortcake Festival this afternoon until 4:00 pm. It's not too late to grab one as a mid-afternoon snack or take some to go for dinner. Small is $4.50, but for 50 cents more, you can get a large (double!!). Olga, the nice lady taking money said that they're "delicious" and she was right.
