MxCC Real Estate Course Begins February 2

Step onto the path of becoming a licensed real estate salesperson while the housing market is strong! Register now for the Real Estate Principles and Practices course at Middlesex Community College which begins February 2.

Students get an extensive understanding of how the real estate marketplace works—including land use controls and regulations, market analysis, financing, contracts, and transfer of titles. Those who attend 60 hours and pass with a grade of 70 qualify for the state's licensing exam.

Middlesex Community College Virtual Info Day


Join Middlesex Community College on Saturday, June 20, at 10 a.m. for a unique online experience and learn more about the college, the registration process, payment options, and more. Open to students and parents,  guests are invited to stay for the entire event, or just log on to the Webex for a specific session. The virtual event will start with an overview of the college and the admissions process, and then move into half-hour sessions focusing on financial aid, the business office, PACT (Connecticut's free community college program), followed by an open Q&A.

MxCC Now Offering 100+ Online Career Training Programs



In an effort to help residents prepare for a new career or advance in a current position, Middlesex Community College’s Continuing Education department has made more than 100 high-quality online career training courses available through its partnership with Ed2go.com. Residents can enroll in these affordable courses and begin taking them anytime from any internet-enabled device or computer.  Course lengths range from three to six months and many programs include an industry certification exam, an internship or externship, or other real-world training.

Students have access to in-demand programs for such varied careers as: clinical dental assistant, fitness business management, physical therapy aide, certified wedding planner, floral design, grant writing, display advertising, web analytics, certified indoor air quality manager, certified mediator and conflict resolution specialist, certified sustainability professional, carpentry, and power plant operations. Students also can become expert in IT and software such as Microsoft Access, Outlook, and Office, or they can earn a high school diploma along with specialized training in areas such as child care, homeland security, and customer service.

All courses are entirely web-based, accompanied with instructors’ office hours and quick responses to student questions.  Tuition includes textbooks and other materials that are delivered to students’ homes or offices.

Ed2go.com programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field. Instructors and mentors are actively involved in the online learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating students.  Each program utilizes quizzes, tests, and assignments to reinforce the learning. Courses are offered to the public through a network of more than 2,100 top colleges, universities, and other organizations, including MxCC.
