Voter Turnout

Our city had a very high turnout compared to other municipalities of the same size or larger,
according to the final numbers released by Secretary of the State Denise Merrill.

Middletown has 20,860 registered voters, of whom 9,346 voted, a turnout of 45%. The statewide turnout was 32.73%.

In general, voters in towns with lower populations are more likely to vote. Among municipalities with more than 20,000 registered voters, only Trumbull had a higher turnout than Middletown.
