Michael Gallant Jazz Trio

Critically acclaimed New York musician, composer, and producer Michael Gallant breaks the rules of the traditional piano trio format, melding elements as diverse as jazz and grunge rock — and often jamming on electric keyboard and acoustic piano at the same time during his exhilarating live shows.

On Friday, November 6, Gallant brings his trio to Buttonwood Tree in support of their second album “Live Plus One,” (release date: October 9, 2015).

A former Senior Editor at Keyboard magazine, Gallant has interviewed and written cover stories on artists like Herbie Hancock, Dave Brubeck, Billy Joel, and Chick Corea. Gallant’s compositions and playing are featured in the major motion picture “About Ray,” starring Susan Sarandon and released by the Weinstein Company on September 18. He also recently contributed to the album “Winds of Samsara,” which won a Grammy Award in 2015.

Saturday, November 7 @ 8:00 pm $20

Noah Guthrie

Bluesy-pop singer/songwriter, Noah Guthrie, has been taking the U.S. by storm in 2014 to promote his debut album, Among the Wildest Things. Often known for his unique covers on youtube, Noah is excited to give fans a taste of his own music. Described as having a Pop/Americana sound with soul, the 20 year old co-wrote the majority of his thirteen originals, along with his first single, Call Home. He may have been called the male version of Adele or a mix of John Legend and Dave Matthews in the past, but as his social media username shows, there is Only 1 Noah.
