At the Middletown Cooperative Preschool, parents play an active role in the early education of
their children by managing the school and participating in the classroom under the direction of our
Head Teacher who has over 25 years of preschool teaching experience.
The Middletown Cooperative Preschool plans curricula using the State of Connecticut Preschool
Curriculum Framework and The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
Accreditation Standards as guides in developing our play-based curriculum, which includes early
literacy and math, school readiness, science discovery and exploration, nature journaling, music and
movement, fine and gross motor development, creative art, cooking, and so much more! Our
teachers guide children as they develop the skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten.
Our classrooms are charming, homey, and spacious, with large windows that allow for natural
lighting and we have a beautiful fenced in playground, please come check us out.
