The Billings Baseball team is comprised of 11 and 12 year old
boys from our area. They will represent our community, August 11-17, 2012, in
the Cooperstown Dreams Park
summer tournament. Teams from all across North America
will be participating in this dream of a lifetime.
The Cooperstown dream is about playing baseball at a high level, while providing a “once in a lifetime” experience for our young players, their families and the coaches. The players will live together in bunk houses and learn important life lessons such as teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, and pride in the community to name a few. They will meet players and teams from all across the US.
The team will play a minimum of seven, 6 inning, games during this week. Some of the players will have the opportunity to compete in an individual skill competition: Golden Arm, King of Swat, and Roadrunner. Nine of the players will compete in the Around the Horn skills event.
This endeavor started in 2010 when a hand full of players voiced their interest in playing at such a prestigious venue. Some of our players have older brothers who played this tournament and still speak of the fond memories they cherish. It was then that the team was started. They have played/practiced together for two years to prepare for our Cooperstown experience.

Middletown Mayor, Dan Drew has honored the team with an official City Proclamation. He named August 11-17, 2012, as Billings Baseball Team – Cooperstown Tournament Week.
To help make this dream come true for this 12u team, players
are trying to raise funds to help defray costs (trading pins, team banner,
etc.). All donations are a tremendous help! Donations of any amount is greatly
appreciated and can be made to head coach: Paul Radziewicz, and mailed to Coach
Paul Radziewicz, 62 Holly Lane, Middletown, CT 06457.
The team is grateful for any assistance in helping them represent our community in Cooperstown, NY.
