(l to r, Mayor Dan Drew, former Police Chief Lynn Baldoni and former mayor Sebastian Giuliano)
The annual Kiwanis Peanut Sale fundraiser is underway this weekend. I encountered an unlikely trio collecting donations at Stop and Shop this morning.
"People look at us and do a double-take," former mayor Sebastian Giuliano said. "They can't believe their eyes."
How wonderful to see that politics is no obstacle to fundraising efforts to benefit those who are less fortunate.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Kiwanis for their local projects. Kiwanis has been a part of the Middletown landscape for as long as I can remember.
What a terrific group of people!
Classy move for all!
ReplyDeleteI am very surprised the Serra's and Santangelo's didn't push Drew into this club before the election. How come it takes becoming mayor for Drew to finally volunteer for something??
ReplyDeleteSeb has been an active member for over 20 years before and after being a mayor. Drew is now trying to show up places and fit in as a "volunteer"in a photo op - speaks volumes on character-
ReplyDeleteDan hasn't paid dues been to a meeting or volunteered for anything since this photo op. As a fellow Kiwanian I am ashamed that you joined and disgraced us because Tom Serras cousin Guy Russo and Lisa Santangelo forced us to induct you to boost your resume. Seb has volunteered at an elemenatary school for years. You claimed you ended the lawsuits at the BOE falsely in November yet have not. And you stand behind Frechette who lied about scream rooms and has made Middletown the arm pit of Ct education. You showed up just in time for the photo op for Midnight on Main too, nice to finally see your true colors Drew.
