How They Voted: Decriminalization of Small Amounts of Marijuana

The State Legislature and Senate have passed a bill which will decriminalize the possession of of less than a half ounce of marijuana. Such small possession would become a violation, rather than a crime. Violators would b fined $150 for the first offense, and between $200 and $500 for the second.

The Governor supports the bill.

Middletown's delegation split their votes.
•Paul Doyle (D, Senate 10th): NO
•Len Suzio (R, Senate 13th): NO
•Christie Carpino (R, House 32nd): NO
•Joe Serra (D, House 33rd): YES
•Gail Hamm (D, House 34th): ABSENT
•Matt Lesser (D, House 100th): YES
