Middletown Fire Fighters Dodgeball Tournament

Middletown Fire Fighters Local 1073 I.A.F.F. is proud to announce our first annual Dodge ball Tournament. On August 28Th, 2010 we will host this tournament at Freeman Athletic Center, 161 Cross Street, Middletown, CT. All proceeds for this event will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Connecticut. As you all know the International Association of Fire Fighters is the largest corporate donor in the history of the MDA telethon. The reason is the unending support of the public that our firefighters enjoy through boot drives, golf tournaments, and dodge ball tournaments just like this one. The tournament will consist of 64 teams (hopefully) who will compete in a double elimination format. Team sizes can consist of 6 to 10 players, with no more than six players being on the court at any time. Prizes will be awarded for first and second place teams, and for the team having the best "uniforms". Please no nudity as this will be a family event. For a tournament package you can go to our website at http://www.iaff1073.org and look for the dodge ball package located on the front page.

Anyone interested in issuing challenges to friends, family, or coworkers are encouraged to participate! What a great way to show your passion for sport, while raising money for Jerry's kids! If you have any questions regarding this event, please use our website to contact us. Local 1073 would like to take this opportunity to thank Wesleyan University for their support to us with the use of Freeman Athletic Center. This would not be possible without their help. Also to the members of the public. We know it is you who provide us the support through financial donations that allow us to continue to help Jerry's Kids. Without you, none of this is ever possible!
