Tonight at the Buttonwood Tree

The 6-piece Jolly Beggars enliven The Buttonwood Tree with traditional Celtic music Tonight!
Friday, April 16th. Only $8 / $5 students

Saturday's show with Giovanni Almonte and Fernando Ferrer HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

The Jolly Beggars bring the rich tradition of Celtic music to audiences all over Connecticut. Made up of students from the Hartt School of Music in West Hartford, CT, their traditional songs and musical arrangements have exposed many music lovers to the joys of Celtic music. They tell traditional stories from Irish folklore or daily life and intersperse their musical arrangements with traditional reels and jigs. Characterized by their tight harmonies and use of mandolin, pennywhistle, guitar, bass, bodhran, spoons, and more, The Jolly Beggars have quickly built a solid following and continue to spread their music around the Hartford area and beyond.

Jeff DesRosier (Vocals/Mandolin/Guitar) Matt Torcellini (Vocals/Percussion) Dave Uhl (Vocals/Bass) Chris Vece (Vocals/Whistles) Greg Wilfrid (Vocals/Guitar/Piano) Chris Jasinski (Vocals/Percussion)
