The Middletown Eye received a report from Common Council member David Bauer that a small plane has apparently made an emergency landing in a field off Randolph Road near Farm Hill Road around 4 PM today.

  1. Hi Ed,

Thanks for the attribution but I didn't need to be a Councilman to figure out it was an airplane.

As a sign of getting old, seeing the plane reminded me that in back of the Long Hill School, the field bordered by South Main and Brown Street, was ~1100 ft grass strip used for initial pilot training in J3 Cubs in WWII.

It has been a long time since Middletown has had an airport.
