Around Middletown in 80 Days: Day 19

Dooley Pond

Located on the South end of Middletown is Dooley Pond. Middletown has a remarkable number of outdoor recreational areas scattered throughout its borders. Dooley Pond, located off South Main St/Rt. 17, is an 18 acre pond with a public boat launch. Phileas planned to do some canoeing and fishing while he was there. The dam was built to create the pond, which is fed by the Long Hill Brook at the south end. Dooley Pond is a great opportunity to spend the afternoon outside enjoying the late summer weather.

  3. Phileas is in fact still AWOL. We would really like him to come home.
