Jon Pulino is running for re-election to the Board of Education. Bill Perkins is running for a first term on the Board of Education. Both Republicans recently used social media to exploit students in our schools for their own political gain, posting on Facebook videos of students who were subject to discipline. This fits into a pattern of behavior for both. Perkins has in the past used a fake identity to attack others, and Pulino has used a stolen identity to do the same.
Pulino used a stolen identity to praise himself when he was running for City Treasurer. |
me this week as a "total liar", "a dirty trickster", "even in high school he always said that he would do anything to win." Our conversation was about the problem of identity theft and the integrity of elected officials.
I was reminded that in 2011, Pulino participated in a scheme to create a Facebook profile and on-line persona of a Wesleyan student, stealing the name and photograph of an innocent student from out of state. This stolen identity was then used to attack Democratic officials in our city, and to praise Jon Pulino (see full story).
Perkins began his deceitful attacks in the last municipal election, using Facebook. Hiding his identity behind a "Bill Berger", he falsely and wildly accused a Democratic candidate of hiring a criminal as a campaign worker. In addition, Perkins has used "Bill Berger" to repeatedly post attacks on decency and respect around the issue of racism. Note: Perkins now acknowledges he is "Berger", and he has deleted posts since becoming a candidate. The Eye has seen screenshots and will not further spread his attacks on decency and respect for others by reproducing them.
Wilson's personal attacks were in response to statements like this. |
Not only that, Wilson attacked at least one of these volunteers at her workplace, suggesting that she be fired, her call for decency and respect for students' privacy was simply too much for Wilson to handle.
What is wrong, Republicans?

The author is not affiliated with either the Republican or Democratic party, he is running for re-election to the Planning and Zoning Commission as a petitioning candidate (row C).
Thank you for the information Middletown Eye. I will keep this in mind when I vote. On a side note if there are any advantages to the COVID-19 virus & quarantine I could think of one. Comcast closed their public access studios where they are not allowing any public access shows being taped at their studios only through Zoom. It is a relief that Comcast viewers in Middletown do not have to see the 3 people you mentioned in this post on this station every week.
