--------
I was appalled to see Mayoral Candidate Giuliano not only deny the existential threat of climate change.
"I don't believe in climate change" is an immoral and dishonest statement for somebody who would like to take an oath to preserve and protect the citizens of Middletown.
Climate science is not a religion, and so "I do not believe" is an ridiculous statement. "I do not accept" the findings of thousands of scientists who warn of growing climate change risks is what Mr. Giuliano was trying to say. Does he not accept all science, or just climate science?
Were he to be elected Mayor and continue his denial of factual science, then many of his actions would indeed be immoral - they would unnecessarily put his constituents into harms way by dismissing policies or programs that would lesson chances that the lives and property and/or livelihoods of his constituents might disappear.
Shame on him.
Amen to Professor Yohe
