Screen-Free Week April 29 – May 5
The Rockfall Foundation coordinates 17 events to enjoy life beyond the screen
Screen-Free Week is coming! The international
celebration, hosted by the nonprofit Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood,
takes place April 29 – May 5, 2019. Schools, libraries, communities, and
families around the world have organized events designed to help children turn
off screens in order to connect with family, friends, nature, and their own
creativity. The Rockfall Foundation has helped organize 17 events in Middletown
for Screen-Free Week. Activities include board games, storytelling, free
admission to Kidcity Children’s Museum, a nature walk, crafting, karate, yoga,
dance classes and more. Most events are free, and all are open to the public. The
entire schedule of activities is at https://www.rockfallfoundation.org/event/screen-free-week-2019/
Founded in 1935 by

environmental organizations. The Foundation supports environmental education,
conservation and planning initiatives in the Lower Connecticut River Valley
through public programs and grants. In
addition, The Rockfall Foundation operates the historic deKoven House Community
