Oddfellows Playhouse programs starting now!

So much is happening at Oddfellows in the next few weeks that we can barely keep up with letting you know about it! Here are some highlights:

Bubblemania: Comedy With a Drip! kicks off the season this Saturday, September 15at 2 pm. This is amazing family entertainment by bubblemaster and comic performer Casey Carle. Get your tickets at https://oddfellowsplayhouse.ticketleap.com/. 

Classes and productions start next week! All kinds of classes start next week, including a Filmmaking class for ages 12 - 14, a Miniproduction for ages 8 -11 created from the Grimm Brothers more obscure stories, plus circus, acting, visual arts and story theater. Also, the Oddbridge program offers Middletown students the chance to catch a bus from their school and engage in fun & learning from 3:30 - 4:30 pm when classes start. Space is limited! https://www.oddfellows.org/after-school

AUDITIONS for Antigone for ages 14 - 20! ARTFARM's Artistic Director Marcella Trowbridge is directing what will surely be a memorable production of Sophocles' classic tragedy about a young woman speaking Truth to Power! Auditions are September 20, but take advantage of TWO FREE WORKSHOPS on September 13 (Physical Theaterwith Dic Wheeler) & September 17 (Vocal Production with Marcella Trowbridge) 6:30 - 8:30 pm. https://www.oddfellows.org/teencompany

CIRCOPHONY TEEN CIRCUS offers two 4-week sessions of serious circus training for ages 12 - 20, run by Circus Director Allison McDermott and an AMAZING GROUP of GUEST ARTISTS! Contortion, juggling, acrobatics, stilting, clowning -- there is something for everyone, and you can choose what you want to study and how much -- from one evening per week for 4 weeks to two evenings per week for 8 weeks. https://www.oddfellows.org/copy-of-children-s-circus-of-middle

JUNIOR REPERTORY COMPANY IS COMING BACK! This is a performance company just for middle schoolers (ages 12 - 14), and this winter they will be doing a Mainstage Production of Lord of the Flies! Get yourself ready by taking Complete Actor III, Filmmaking at Your Fingertips, or Intermediate Improv, because that winter production is going to be CRAZY!!!! https://www.oddfellows.org/copy-of-teen-repertory-company-ages

The first Middletown Teen Talent Search will be held on Saturday, October 6, and some Middletown teenager or group of teens is going to go home with a $500 prize!Nekita Waller, Connecticut's first African-American State Troubador and a Middletown resident, will be the Host for what should prove to be an amazing evening of TALENT! New Staff: Come meet some of the new faces at the Playhouse this fall. Former Artistic Director Dic Wheeler is back at the helm after 12 years away; Oddfellows alum Kate Pulino is our new Managing Director; and Cecilia Kurachi-Ubé is our Emerging Leader Fellow this season. We can't wait to meet you and your family in person!
