Born and raised in the suburbs of New York City by parents of Haitian decent, Louis Apollon was exposed to many musical cultures from very young age. Music had always been something that sparked curiosity for him. From learning his way around his first instrument, the clarinet, to trying to imitate sounds coming from the radio, to breaking his father’s old record player trying to scratch old records. It was not uncommon to hear sounds from around the world on a daily basis, and those sounds influenced the music he makes today.

Louis Apollon's style is heavily influenced by Jazz and World music. He doesn't hide from the imperfections of humanity, he embraces them! He creates a space where people can let go of their differences, feel uplifted and safe through the powers of music. Along with his trio, he delivers an exciting mix of cultures, energy, and an infectious positivity to live performances.

Come see him and fellow performers, Ivanna Gonzales and Laura Crespo,
by reserving tickets today!

After 40 years of playing together, Washboard Slim and the Bluelights has evolved into one of the country's most versatile and original of jug bands.
Incorporating pure Americana instruments like tub bass, washboard, jug, banjo, harmonica, and fiddle, adding drums and powerful vocal harmonies, this band rocks sold-out concerts, dance halls and family shows. Playing their own compositions as well as original arrangements of traditional gospel and blues tunes, their music is by turns playful and haunted. It's no wonder legendary blues/folk artist, Eric Von Schmidt described Washboard Slim and the Bluelights as “traditional music on overdrive.”

Featuring Peter Menta as the drummer and woodwind, Howard Horn as the bassist, Brooks Barnett as the Keyboardist, Mat Kastner as a guitarist, John Pendergast on strings, and Lauren Agnelli as a vocalist.

Sunday, June 10th @ 3 - 5PM, $5 Admission

Have you ever wondered what people see in nature? Why they are passionate about our world’s natural beauty? Or are you just an art fanatic? Local collage and watercolor painter, Candice Weigle-Spier, is one herself. Throughout the month of June, she will be hosting her collection at the Buttonwood Tree: Remembering Nature. Remembering Nature is a series focused on the destruction of our natural world. Many of the pieces therein are constructed from recycled materials, representing the beauty of nature in media that are instrumental in its demise. On the tenth, there will be a reception at our location wherein Candice herself will be discussing her art. There will also be refreshments. Join us for a chance to understand nature through the eyes of an artist.
