Chairs of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce Real Estate Council Nancy Currlin and David Gallitto announced that the 2018 Real Estate Luncheon was held last Thursday, June 7 at The Elks Lodge in our City.

The Mary Ellen Klinck Real Estate Agent of the Year Award was presented to Margaret Curry of William Raveis. This award recognizes an agent who has made outstanding volunteer contributions to our community.

Margaret is a breast cancer survivor who continues to donate her time and efforts to numerous cancer organizations. She co-chaired the William Raveis breast cancer fundraiser in Middletown that earned almost $15,000.  She volunteered for everything while her kids were at school in Durham from the scholarship committee, to the football golf tournament and basketball fundraisers. She's a volunteer for the Walter Camp College All American event benefiting local hospitals.  She was treasurer of the Middletown Spartans and chair for their breast cancer event where all proceeds went to the local "After the Storm" organization. While doing these many volunteer activities she still managed to be the top producing single agent in Middletown's William. Raveis office last year with around nine million in sales.

Chamber President Larry McHugh noted, “I would like to congratulate Margaret on this well-deserved honor, and thank our Real Estate Council Co-Chairs Nancy Currlin and David Gallitto for their leadership of this important chamber committee.”
