Have you ever wanted to break a world record and get into the Guinness book but didn’t want to swallow all those live goldfish or sit in a tree for days? Here’s your opportunity!!
The Wesleyan Math and Science Scholars program (WesMaSS) is sponsoring an attempt to break the world record for number of people rolling down a hill in one hour. All we need is 600 people! The event will take place this Saturday, November 4th from 10 am – noon on Foss Hill.
Anyone can roll, just sign up here
Even if you can’t make it, please announce to your students, friends and family – everyone is welcome (and needed!).
If we succeed, we will get into the Guinness Book of World Records!!
Also, we are still looking for a few volunteers to help us mount the event, please contact David Westmoreland (westmoreland@wesleyan.edu) or Tenzin Ngodup (tngodup@wesleyan.edu) if you are able to help us.
The Wesleyan Math and Science Scholars program is a pilot initiative that is built around providing support and community for students from underrepresented groups interested in STEM.
Thanks in advance for your participation and help-
Let’s get rolling!! (and Happy Halloween)
