Reviving 5000 Years of Chinese Civilization at Russell Library

Patrons will have a chance to try a Chinese Ribbon Dance!
On Sunday, February 5 at 2:00pm in the Hubbard Room, the essence and unique qualities of the traditional Chinese culture will be demonstrated in this presentation by the Connecticut Chinese Culture Association. How the traditional was interrupted, and how it is being revived will be discussed. The 1-hour session will include a slide and video presentation as well as a short Chinese dance workshop. The audience will also have a hand-on experience of classical Chinese dance props such as a long ribbon and fans.
The Connecticut Chinese Culture Association (CCCA) is a nonprofit organization with the mission to promote cultural exchange, serving Asian communities and the general public in Connecticut.

All ages.
