Local Election Results: Suzio With a Narrow Lead

At 10:00PM, all of the precincts had reported their vote totals, and the only ballots not yet counted were the absentee ballots.

Middletown voters overwhelmingly reelected Joe Serra and Matt Lesser to the State Legislature, and voted YES on both of the bond referenda.

In regional elections, although Paul Doyle's State Senate district includes towns north of Middletown, his vote totals in our city assure his reelection.

Len Suzio has a very narrow lead in the race for the other State Senate seat that represents our city. With all precincts in Meriden, Middletown, Cheshire, and Middlefield reporting, Suzio was ahead of Danté Bartolomeo by about 100 votes.  It would take a large advantage for Bartolomeo in the absentee ballots for her to win reelection.

Our city voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton for president, Richard Blumenthal for U.S. Senate, Rosa DeLauro for U.S. Congress District 3, and John Larson for U.S. Congress District 1.
