Another accident at Pearl and Broad in Middletown. Car traveling South on Pearl ran a red light and collided with a vehicle heading east on Washington. The car traveling on Washington smashed into the St. Sebastian rectory. The driver of the car that ran the red light, fled. The driver of the car that hit the rectory had minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The rectory was occupied by the parish pastor who felt the impact, but was uninjured. Police summoned the department dogs to track the driver who fled.
