Delay can make the satisfaction greater. After being rained out last week, the annual Motorcycle Mania brought out an enthusiastic crowd of bike lovers. Mayor Dan Drew estimated that 6000 to 7000 motorcycles were present. Each paid either $5 or $10, depending on whether they wished to be considered for an award. My God was it really necessary for the SWAT team to be in full force with their guns displayed??? I hate this "new normal" and find it utterly disheartening. I know they're just doing their job, but was the there some sort of threat that would warrant this kind of police presence? Ridiculous.
The SWAT Team was there. Why? Were they present at the other Middletown Events like the marathons in Middletown, and the Car Show.. Or is the MPD just being bias towards motorcycle enthusiasts? I hope it is not the latter
