In an effort to help residents prepare for a new career or
advance in a current position, Middlesex Community College’s Continuing
Education department has made more than 100 high-quality online career training
courses available through its partnership with Ed2go.com. Residents can enroll
in these affordable courses and begin taking them anytime from any
internet-enabled device or computer. Course
lengths range from three to six months and many programs include an industry
certification exam, an internship or externship, or other real-world training.
Students
have access to in-demand programs for such varied careers as: clinical dental
assistant, fitness business management, physical therapy aide, certified
wedding planner, floral design, grant writing, display advertising, web
analytics, certified indoor air quality manager, certified mediator and conflict
resolution specialist, certified sustainability professional, carpentry, and
power plant operations. Students also can become expert in IT and software such
as Microsoft Access, Outlook, and Office, or they can earn a high school
diploma along with specialized training in areas such as child care, homeland
security, and customer service.
All
courses are entirely web-based, accompanied with instructors’ office hours and
quick responses to student questions.
Tuition includes textbooks and other materials that are delivered to
students’ homes or offices.
