Teresa Whitaker and Frank Schwartz sing songs and tell stories. |
On Tuesday, November 17, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm the Russell Library will host the state-wide 'Tellabration' event with storytellers and
musicians Teresa Whitaker & Frank Schwartz will sing, play a variety of instruments, and tell stories. Originally from Cynthiana, Kentucky, Teresa Whitaker is
a musician and storyteller in her own right. Rhythm and a mercurial voice are trademarks of her lively and joyous
performances. She often tells original stories and traditional myths and
folktales, weaving in participatory music with songs, guitar, Celtic harp and
percussion instruments. Frank Schwartz is a musician and songwriter from
Baltimore, who grew up listening to and playing many styles of music. He sings
and plays guitar, bass, old-time banjo and the mandolin. He is also a founding
member of Maryland's premier Irish musical group "O'Malley's March”.
This program is sponsored by The Friends of the Russell
Library.
