The Senior Services Division is holding its 1st Annual Senior Expo on Tuesday, May 5th from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the new Senior & Community Center located at 61 Durant Terrace.
The Expo will feature 50 vendors consisting of businesses, non-profits, and city and state agencies. All of the vendors participating provide a valuable service to our city's older adults. Several hundred attendees are expected throughout the expo, making it the largest event ever hosted by the Senior Services Division! Carpooling and/or taking advantage of the enhanced dial-a-ride service provided by Middletown Area Transit is advised.
This unique expo will highlight:
- City/State Services
- Community Services
- Entertainment/Leisure/Recreation Activities
- Health & Wellness Providers
- Health Screenings
- Homecare Services
- Housing Options
- Legal and Financial Services
- Public Safety Agencies
- Rehabilitation and Convalescent Centers
- Volunteer Opportunities
There’s something for everyone! A continental breakfast and cookout lunch will be provided to all attendees. Mayor Daniel T. Drew is scheduled to speak in the Dining Hall at 10:30am.
Many of the vendors will be handing out promotional materials and giveaway items! The Recreation & Community Services Department will also be raffling off 5 gift cards between 10am-3pm.
