Singer. Producer. Composer. Theologian. Poet. Multiinstrumentalist. Eclectic. Raw. Intuitive. Down to earth.
Subversive. Genuine.
North Carolina native Kristen Leigh’s original indie
chamber folk occupy a liminal space between genres and styles – a place where
darkness and light, passion and humor, vulnerability and wit, subtlety and transparency,
ruin and redemption, doubt and hope, and cellos and banjos live comfortably
alongside one another.
She is currently living and performing in the New York
area while pursuing her M.Div. at Union Theological Seminary, where she writes
about the limitations of the sacred/secular binary in Western cultural
perceptions of art and music.
