"Game Design Realities of Ready Player One," presented by Professor Ira Fay, takes at 7 p.m. Monday April 15 in the Hubbard Room of the Russell Library. Ira is an assistant professor of game design and development at Quinnipiac University and the CEO of Fay Games, a Connecticut-based game development studio focused on making games for educational impact.
Come hear about "Ready Player One" from the perspective of a professional game designer! What would actually be possible? How farfetched is the story created by Ernest Cline? Ira will also discuss two themes of the book that are particularly positive elements of game playing: bringing people together across cultural boundaries and inspiring curiosity.
