From 1912: Wesleyan Sees Foe's Plays

The following article is from 75 years ago today, published in the New York Times on October 14, 1937. Wesleyan once had a dominant football team that was regularly covered in The Times. The campus was thronged with spectators at games, in 1948 about 12,000 came to watch the Trinity game at Andrus Field.

The 1937 game ended with a 6-0 Wesleyan victory. Haverford dropped football in the 1970s, and Wesleyan football is no longer featured in The Times.
