The Connecticut State Senate voted 20-16 last night to repeal the death penalty (The Connecticut Mirror has the full story). Here is how our two senators voted:
Paul Doyle (D, 9th district): NO
Len Suzio (R, 13th district): NO
Doyle was one of only two Democrats to vote against repeal.
The measure now goes before the State House, which voted overwhelmingly in favor of repeal two years ago. In that vote, Representatives Hamm and Lesser voted for, and Representative Serra voted against repeal.
The Governor has said he would sign the bill now under consideration.
