AFRICAN DRUMMING, SINGING, DANCING, AND STORIES FROM “DESTINY AFRICA CHILDREN’S CHOIR” FREE PERFORMANCE AT MXCC ON APRIL 12

Middlesex Community College welcomes “Destiny Africa Children’s Choir,” a performance group of 8-16 year-old children who have been rescued from horrific situations in Uganda and now live at the Kampala Children's Centre outside of the city of Kampala.  This community includes homes, a school, a farm, and a youth center, and provides workshops and other resources that have transformed the lives of these children.
Come hear a free performance of hope, restoration, freedom and joy featuring a lively mix of contemporary and traditional African songs, drumming, dancing, and inspirational stories from the children on Thursday, April 12, at MxCC’s Chapman Hall, Room 808 A, B, C, and D. The first show is from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., and the evening show begins at 7 p.m.  Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to Chapman Hall.  To learn more about the Destiny Africa Children’s Choir, visit www.destinyafrica.org or www.kampalachildren.org.  Although the event is free, a $25 donation to the choir is suggested.  Details are at www.mxcc.edu.
