From the Office of Matt Lesser
-------------
State Representative Matt Lesser (D-Durham, Middlefield, & Middletown) addressed more than 100 seniors at the monthly AARP meeting at St. Pius X Church today.
Lesser talked about steps he has taken to lower electric prices for seniors and a new law he helped pass to protect consumers that limits the sales practices of competitive electric supply companies.
"Connecticut has some of the highest electric rates in the country which disproportionately impact seniors and others on fixed incomes,” Lesser said. "The good news is that we enacted a new law that will make a real difference and finally lower electric bills."
Joining Lesser in speaking to the crowd was Claudio Gualtieri, AARP Connecticut senior program specialist for public affairs.
"We are giving consumers additional rights and cracking down on speculators and dishonest salesmen," said Lesser, who is serving his third year on the legislature's Energy Committee. "I want to thank Bob Sweeney for inviting me here today."
and Ed Dypa a republican candidate for common council who has fought long and hard for a senior center as well as senior rights in Middletown is also in the picture above. If your going to plug Lesser, lets be fair-
ReplyDeleteHow come Matt Lesser didn't join Joe Markley in fighting the sneaky electric tax???? How about the rest of your constituents, Matt? Just more shared sacrifice.
ReplyDeleteEd Dypa is the real deal! As a GOP member of the CC he will fight for the Seniors and the Senior Center. Good Luck Ed!
