Laszlo Gardony – piano, composer, arranger Stan Strickland – saxophone, vocals, kalimba, flute and bass clarinet

Pianist & composer Laszlo Gardony celebrates his new CD, “Signature Time” (Sunnyside) in duo with saxophonist extraordinaire Stan Strickland

Laszlo Gardony is “one of contemporary music’s truly original voices,” (JazzTimes) and “a great pianist” (Dave Brubeck). On tonight’s show he’s joined by saxophonist extraordinaire Stan Strickland and together they’ll take audiences on a musical journey spanning jazz, soul, rock, folk and classical. This concert celebrates Gardony’s new CD “Signature Time.” It’s music of style, imagination and beauty.

LAST NIGHT: We enjoyed the sounds of Britt Sawdon, accompanied by the John Funkhouser Trio. They combined jazz, blues and pop sounds on guitar, piano, keyboard, drums and standup bass. Insightful songwriting and catchy melodies pleased the audience, many of which came from a Meetup Group!
