MIDDLETOWN, CT – Tonight, the Working Families Party congratulates Dan Drew on winning the Democratic primary for mayor of Middletown. The WFP supported Drew in the race.
“We're happy to congratulate Dan Drew on his win tonight,” said Jon Green, Executive Director of the Connecticut Working Families Party. “We examined the records of all the candidates on the issues that impact middle class families. Dan Drew has got what it takes to put Middletown back on track.”
As the winner of the Democratic primary and the WFP’s endorsed candidate, Drew will be listed on the general election ballot twice: once on the Democratic line and one on the Working Families line.
"When you vote Working Families in November, your vote counts for Dan Drew, and it also sends all our politicians a message that it's time to put the needs or ordinary working families first,” said Lindsay Farrell, Political Director of the Connecticut Working Families Party. "If you care about good jobs, strong public schools, and fair taxes, you can make your voice heard on the Working Families line."
Working Families Party, Connecticut's fastest-growing independent party, fights for economic fairness for working class and middle class families. The WFP evaluates the records of all candidates and supports those who fight for issues like creating good jobs, making healthcare more affordable, fair taxes, and quality education for all.
